University of Ibadan champions Zain Africa Challenge, 2009.

These boys from Ibadan, South West of Nigeria have shown that they are no pushover.
On the 31st of August, 2009 the university of Ibadan representatives did us proud as they defeated Kenyatta University of Kenya, the current title holder.
As the winner of the contest, they were entitled to institutional grant of $50,000and individual grants of $5,000 and the Zain trophy in addition to the bragging right associated with such victory.
These students have really shown the world that despite the present ASUU strike action, the Nigerian Education is standard. Who knows maybe the government will appreciate you efforts and meet the demands of our lecturers.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE GENIUS FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN,NIGERIA. We your counterparts are very proud of you.

Facebook zooms into udergraduates' minds.

"You have 2 friend requests
You have 3 new notifications
You have 1 group invitation..."

These are common sentences that Nigerian students now understand so well.
Facebook as we all know is a network for friends and families. It has been in existence si ce 2004. But recently, it zoomed suddenly into nigerian students activities. For those who had internet facilities at our homes and our hostels, it is already a FAMILIARITY.
As a result of the free MTN browsing, many nigerian students, have gotten access to the internet and if you are browsing with opera mini, facebook is already bookmarked. Wow! This is a wide door opened for us and I love it.
Facebook has been an interesting way for us to while away our time when we are bored, especially during this ASUU strike period. So guys, keep on facebooking, find old friends, create and join groups with your course mates. Just have fun but don't forget to jack oo! The strike could be called off anytime.
